Ecotype

Ecotype plays an important role in the transition to digital and more actively sustainable forestry. They simplify information from the nature and digitize forestry with the goal of making complex  information easy to understand and accessible to all. The company has created a data platform and system for forest data under the name "skogshubben.se" which helps forest owners and the forest industry to monitor, plan, analyze and control their forest with the help of digital and automatically produced forestry plans. The platform can also be used as a calculator for forest holdings through various calculation modules for carbon sequestration, economic flows, climate reporting and management programs. By combining information from satellite data with research results and information from other public data sources, the platform provides the conditions for an increased level of knowledge and to conduct forestry that benefits both the environment, the economy and high forest growth. The service includes all forest forest properties in Sweden, which means that all approximately 311,000 forest owners can log in and directly receive a digital forestry plan and tools for their forest.

WE OFFER

• A web-based tool that collects and analyzes forest data on all forest properties in Sweden. The user can do everything from keeping track of and planning measures, seeing summaries of forest properties, getting information about risks and finances, and maintaining and creating their own forest management plans in a user-friendly interface.
• Calculation modules for forest holdings, climate reporting, economic analyses and compilations.
• Forest companies can deliver manual and existing forest management plans to the end customer via the tool.

• The company has in a short time proven its potential as since the beta launch of Skogshubben in March 2022, they have received over 1500 registered users in the platform. Ecotype is in pilot mode with several forest companies, industrial and financial players linked to the industry.
• In 2021, the company raised just over SEK 8 million from, among others, LRF Ventures and VEQ in order to continue focusing on their solutions.
