Metsä Board Husum is currently closing down the old rest product landfill this year, and thereafter the mill has to find sustainable solutions for other use if the rest products coming out if the mill. Big investment - RISE Research Institutes of Sweden (SWE) Clas Engström is Project Manager at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden - Sweden’s research institute and innovation partner. Clas is currently coordinating the upcoming biorefinery pilot plant in Örnsköldsvik, an investment by the Swedish Government of SEK 350 million. The pilot plant will be a world-unique test bed environment focusing on creating commercialisation of new technologies, products and services where companies, researchers and entrepreneurs in the bioeconomy field can meet.
