Wärtsilä is a global leader in smart technologies and complete lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets, providing both manufacturing and services, with operations in over 200 locations in more than 80 countries around the world. Now they are looking to meet innovative Swedish companies.
Wärtsilä is now investing EUR 200 million in the new Smart Technology Hub, a new centre of research, product development and production, in Vaasa. The Smart Technology Hub will invite companies, start-ups and academia within the industry for open collaboration within the following areas: Additive manufacturing, Co-creation, Machine learning (AI), Smart manufacturing ecosystems, System integration, Circular economy and Selected transnational suppliers.
This event consists of a general information session of Wärtsilä's Smart Technology Hub and indvidual meetings with companies selected by Wärtsilä. Registration is required for both parts of the program.
This event is organised through the project Future Cleantech Solutions, financed by Interreg Botnia-Atlantica, Region Västerbotten, Umeå municipality, Umeå Energi, Skellefteå municipality, Skellefteå Kraft, Region Västernorrland, Örnsköldsviks municipality, Regional Council of Ostrobothnia, VASEK, Merinova, the City of Vaasa, City of Kokkola and KOSEK.
