Call for Proposals: Business and Export Opportunities in Sustainable Mobility and Sustainable Cities in Germany
Small and medium-sized Swedish companies with energy and climate innovations are now invited to apply for the next round of the Swedish-German Cleantech Platform starting in 2025. Applications are open until December 1, 2024.
The business accelerator is run by the Swedish Energy Agency in collaboration with the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce and aims to introduce Swedish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the German market. The focus is particularly on sustainable mobility and sustainable cities. The demand for products and sustainable energy solutions in these areas is high in Germany, creating attractive business opportunities for leading Swedish companies.
Solutions within each area with great potential in the German market include software and hardware and new business models in, among others:
Sustainable mobility:e-mobility, alternative fuels and hydrogen, infrastructure and system solutions, transport and logistics, etc.
Sustainable cities:heating and cooling, energy-efficient buildings, infrastructure, climate-neutral and interconnected districts, etc.
About the program
The Swedish-German Cleantech Platform spans one year and offers coaching on key success factors for the German market as well as individual advice to optimize the company’s value proposition. The program also includes tailored meetings with potential customers and partners, which are a central part of the participants’ journey to success in Germany.
The program consists of the following parts:
Joint kick-off in Berlin:Participants start with an introductory meeting with relevant German actors and participate in the SET Tech Festival organized by the German Energy Agency Dena. The kick-off trip also includes a joint dialogue forum with relevant German stakeholders.
Development of market strategies:Each company receives support in developing individual market strategies and help with booking both digital and physical B2B meetings.
Delegation trip:Each company participates in a delegation trip to prioritized federal state(s) in Germany. The delegation trip focuses on individual meetings, roundtable discussions, pitch sessions, and networking events.
Closing event:The program concludes with an event that summarizes the experiences and ties up the final threads.
Who can apply?
Companies wishing to participate in the program must meet the following criteria:
Have a product or solution in sustainable mobility or sustainable cities that is ready to scale up in the German market.
Have an initial market plan for entering the German market, or be in the process of developing one.
Prioritize expansion to the German market in 2025.
In addition to the above specifications, the following conditions apply to participate in the program:
All requested information and documents must be attached for the application to be evaluated.
Companies can only participate in the program once.
Applicant companies need to have developed their own innovative product or solution.
Companies or consulting businesses that are part of a group are not classified as SMEs.
All program modules are mandatory. At least one representative must participate on-site in Germany, and a substitute must be able to step in at short notice if necessary.
Participation is free of charge; participants only need to cover travel and hotel costs as well as meals.
