Call for Proposals: Innovation Clusters for a Sustainable and Robust Energy System
To accelerate the transition to a sustainable and robust energy system, the Swedish Energy Agency is seeking actors who want to establish innovation clusters.
The Swedish Energy Agency wants the innovation clusters that are granted funding to contribute to the energy and climate transition by creating conditions for new actor constellations and business models, identifying new needs, sharing knowledge and experiences, and overcoming obstacles.
What can you apply for support for?
The Swedish Energy Agency is seeking innovation clusters that address one or more of the challenge areas that align with one or more of the thematic areas described in the call for proposals.
Challenge Areas:
Technology and sustainable value chains for energy transition and competitiveness.
Accelerated transition through system demonstrations and business development.
Resilient and robust energy system.
Governance, goal conflicts, and development paths for the energy system.
Enhanced competence for the energy transition.
Thematic Areas:
Electrical systems
Bioenergy
Industry
Transport systems
Heating and cooling
Buildings

Who Can Apply?
Anyone who can coordinate innovation clusters according to the guidelines of the call can apply, for example:
Companies
Public sector
Industry organizations
Universities and colleges
Foundations or institutes related to the specified areas.
Important Dates
The deadline for applications is November 13, 2024. Decisions on which projects will be granted funding will be made in February 2025. The project can start no earlier than March 1, 2025.
