Call: Global Innovation Accelerator

Do you have an innovation that can contribute to a sustainable energy system? Are you interested in and have you started working on expanding to an international market? Apply to the Global Innovation Accelerator.

The programme is tailored for growth companies contributing to a sustainable energy system and ready to tackle international markets.

The goal is to offer participating companies individually tailored support in their internationalization efforts, thereby accelerating the process.

To provide support when companies need it the most, the program has rolling admissions. The work with each company begins with a kick-off event, which also involves program partners. Companies then undertake their individual activities during a 12-month program period.

The program offers business and market development support, tailored to the individual needs of each participating company. Examples of how previous participants have used the support include market research, standardization and certification issues, conferences/trade shows, investor search, etc.

What You Get as a Participant:

• A dedicated coach in the form of a business development expert during participation
• Support in defining activities in the target market based on individual needs
• Up to SEK 240,000 in grants (requirement of 25% co-financing, i.e., up to SEK 60,000 from the participating company)
• Ongoing follow-up and support during the program period

Target Group

Swedish-registered small and medium-sized enterprises that have:

• Innovative offerings that can contribute to a sustainable energy system
• A defined market strategy with a specified geographic market or international target group
• Reached a certain level of technological maturity for their offering (Technology Readiness Level, TRL at least 8)
• A scalable product or service, i.e., potential for large-scale market dissemination
• Necessary resources in terms of personnel and finances to carry out the initiative during the program period

Costs

Participation in the Global Innovation Accelerator is free of charge and the program is funded by the Swedish Energy Agency. Note that the grant portion requires 25% co-financing from the participating company. Any additional costs for travel and accommodation are borne by the participants.
