The Climate Tech Challenge 2024 is a global initiative aimed at promoting innovations in climate and environmental technology by connecting promising tech startups with Japanese companies. Organized by Hyogo Prefecture and the city of Kobe, the program offers a unique opportunity for startups to expand their operations to Japan and gain access to one of the world’s most advanced markets for climate solutions.
Participating startups will receive extensive networking support, including 1-to-1 matching with local companies and investors, which can lead to strategic partnerships and business opportunities. Additionally, financial support for travel and accommodation is provided, making it easier for international startups to participate in the program.
The program focuses on innovations in several key areas, including carbon capture and storage, advanced forming technology, and low-carbon concrete. These technologies have the potential to make significant contributions to reducing carbon emissions and combating climate change.
The application period for The Climate Tech Challenge 2024 is open until October 31, 2024, and the program starts in December 2024.
