Prime Minister of Sweden, Stefan Löfven, impressed by Racoon Miljöfilter

Stefan Löfven, Prime Minister of Sweden, visited Racoon Miljöfilter in Robertsfors on February 20 to listen to and talk about innovation and look at the products and manufacturing at Racoon.

Prime Minister of Sweden, Stefan Löfven, was pleased to hear about Olle Sydléns impressive story, how the idea of an air filter went from idea, testing with the family's microwave in the garage, to full-scale production and to be world-leading on the market. Stefan Löfven was guided by Olle Sydlén who presented the different products: the filter element which today is the core activity of Racoon, indicators and the unique water purification. Sydlén described the properties of the products and why they are world leaders. The Prime Minister also walked around the new factory, meeting the staff and asking questions about working at Racoon Miljöfilter and the manufacturing process, as well as watching how the new machines work. Stefan Löfven was impresed with the products and how the company from Robertsfors became world-leading.

Produces air filter for everything from machinery and ventilation to buildings and water purification of contaminated water. Provides mainly to the industries: agriculture, forestry, construction, mining and defense industries.

1992 - Olle Sydlén tests and develops a new type of air filter
1998 - Racoon Miljöfilter AB is formed having a production line in Skellefteå
2008 - The production is moved to Sikeå
2016 - Moves into a state-of-the-art, newly renovated factory in Robertsfors
