During Monday afternoon, a matchmaking event was conducted between Swedish cleantech companies and Dutch companies working with residual streams.
The need for smart, sustainable solutions for the biological residual streams in the Netherlands is big. Therefore, the Dutch industry gave the Dutch Refinery Cluster and Nutrient Platform the mission to find solutions for the residual stream challenge. Through the network of Smart City Sweden, North Sweden Cleantech and Cleantech Östergötland was contacted. Northern Sweden has many new, innovative solutions on processing the biological residual streams. Regional companies were asked and together with companies from Cleantech Östergötland, a matchmaking event was a fact.
During one afternoon, around forty meetings between fifteen companies were arranged. Among the most popular companies were the Swedish companies C-Green and Biocompost, who were fully booked. In addition of C-Green and Biocompost, the Biorefinery Cluster RISE Processum was also participating and made several connections for future collaborations. The evaluation conducted in connection with the matchmaking, showed that 88 percent of all the meetings were very relevant or relevant for continued contact. During the afternoon, people requested contact information for the participants to be able to book more meetings.
- We got several good contacts that we will follow up. We also have to book some meetings that we did not have time for today, says Thomas Storsjö from Biocompost.
It was a successful event for both the Swedish and Dutch companies.
