For the first time, an analysis has been made of how circular Sweden’s economy is. The Circularity Gap Report Sweden is an in-depth analysis of how Sweden consumes materials, from food and consumer goods to housing and mobility. The report shows that Sweden’s economy is largely linear. The analysis has been carried out by RISE and Circle Economy on behalf of the strategic innovation program RE:Source.
The company Conifer Vision, based in Skellefteå, has the goal set on the forest. With unique AI solutions they provide valuable data for forest management and administration. It is both profitable and good for the climate.
Logscom AB in Åsele has eliminated the last manual step in harvesting forest. Their automated timber labelling system, which is built directly into the harvesting machines, increases the efficiency and improves the working environment in forestry. But the biggest winner is the forest itself.
With the help of captured carbon dioxide and hydrogen, Liquid Wind is going to break new industrial ground. The first facility for big scale production of electro fuel is planned to be ready 2024 in Örnsköldsvik. The green fuel can revolutionize the maritime industry, making it carbon neutral.
